Course Goals and Objectives:

 

Dr. Willie Chao: Management of Children & Parents and Frequently Asked Dental Questions

  • The lecture participants should be able to:

    • Understand the management of pediatric dental emergencies and frequently asked questions by parents/caregivers

    • Understand the patient and parent behavior management techniques and treatment options

    • Understand the recommendations and resources provided by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Oariona Lowe: Research Methodology & Data Analysis

  • Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Define the steps of developing a research project

    • Design a study using specific types of research methodology

Dr. Oariona Lowe: Phase One Orthodontics and Treatment

  • Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Explain why Phase I orthodontics is recommended

    • Describe the different types of malocclusion

    • Describe different types of interceptive orthodontic treatment

    • Discuss different appliances used in interceptive treatment

Dr. Eric Jewell: Indications and Techniques for Periodontal Surgery for General Dentists

  • At the completion of this lecture, participants will be able to:

    • Describe normal osseous topography

    • Understand the development of osseous defects

    • Classify osseous defects

    • Describe the steps of osseous resective surgery

    • Understand the indications for crown lengthening surgery

Dr. Jos Hille: Oral Pathology-White Lesions

  • At the completion of this lecture, participants will be able to:

    • The lecture participants should know how to Identify and name the common oral white lesions and be able to relate to the appropriate treatment

Conflict of Interest: None of the presenters reported any conflicts of interest

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Courses which do not receive sufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation. In the event a course is filled or cancelled, Cambridge Institute for Global Oral Health will refund the full tuition. A full refund, less a $500 administrative fee for each course registrant,  will be given for courses if written notification of withdrawal is received and confirmed 45 days prior to the date of the first course of the program.
